Description

  • Develop and maintain server-side applications using PHP 8, Laravel 10, Node.js, Golang, and MySQL.
  • Build and optimize APIs with a focus on performance, scalability, and security.
  • Implement front-end features in React 18.2 with TypeScript.
  • Work with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and code reviews.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior team members.
  • Manage integrations between internal systems and AWS cloud services.
  • Maintain documentation, database schemas, and secure engineering practices.
  • Improve workflows and processes to help the team work more efficiently.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a software developer with a proven project track record.
  • Strong knowledge of PHP 8 and Laravel 9+.
  • Strong knowledge of MySQL and solid database design and optimization skills.
  • Experience with React.js 18.2 or another frontend framework.
  • Strong knowledge of Golang and a Golang framework such as Gin, or equivalent.
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, RESTful APIs, and Git.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS or a similar cloud platform.
  • Experience with PHPUnit or a similar testing framework.
  • Good understanding of web application security.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong ownership mentality and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to move across the stack rather than working in a silo.
  • Proactive, collaborative, and clear communication style.
  • Willingness to document work and improve processes.
  • Nice to have: WebRTC, FFMPEG, HLS, SRT, RTMP, and DRM experience.
  • Nice to have: Node.js/Express, GitHub Actions, and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Redis.
  • Nice to have: Experience in a multi-service or microservices-style architecture.
  • Nice to have: Familiarity with AWS services such as ECS/ECR, RDS, S3, CloudFront, Redis, Amazon MQ, and Lambda.
  • Nice to have: Experience with Infrastructure as Code, especially CloudFormation-style templates and environment parameterization.
  • Nice to have: Experience improving GitHub Actions workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Nice to have: Familiarity with automated testing and quality tooling such as Pest/PHPUnit, Vitest, Playwright, ESLint/Prettier, Pint, and Psalm.
  • Personal qualities: Self-driven, motivated, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personal qualities: Passionate about having interests or hobbies outside of work.
