Description

  • Provide technical leadership and thought leadership for applying AI across the company.
  • Serve as a strategic technical advisor to engineering and select business leaders, aligning roadmaps and planning with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance AI-assisted developer productivity and innovation.
  • Drive operational excellence for developer tooling, including observability strategy, SLOs, incident response, root-cause analysis, and remediation.
  • Mentor engineers across the Platform organization and help raise the technical capabilities of teams.
  • Promote continuous learning, data-driven decision-making, and risk management across the organization.
  • Build strong working relationships with engineering managers, product managers, and other cross-functional leaders.
  • Lead the adoption and scaling of AI-enabled developer tooling and best practices across engineering.
  • Lead prototyping and production solutions to support organizational AI initiatives.
  • Oversee build-versus-buy decisions for AI tooling and vendor investments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field.
  • 15+ years of software development experience.
  • Several years of recent experience applying Generative AI in software development and for end users, ideally in a medium or large enterprise.
  • Expertise in public cloud platforms, with AWS preferred.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Deep understanding of modern development practices and CI/CD, including how AI can improve quality and velocity.
  • Familiarity with agentic architectures, including SDKs, context engineering, MCPs, and authorization.
  • Ability to operate as a full-stack operator with clear objectives in ambiguous or varied directions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience influencing business users and non-technical team members is strongly preferred.
