Description

  • Develop deep expertise in New Relic products and services.
  • Partner with sales to qualify new logo and expansion opportunities from both technical and business perspectives.
  • Lead value and solution discovery workshops to identify customer challenges.
  • Create and deliver technical proofs through demonstrations, presentations, workshops, and business value materials.
  • Develop and present points of view that show the value of standardizing on the New Relic platform.
  • Run proof-of-concept and pilot engagements aligned to customer business metrics and outcomes.
  • Identify and resolve critical business and technical issues from customers, partners, and colleagues.
  • Contribute directly to achieving revenue goals for the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with broader account teams to address business and technical problems.
  • Build strong relationships with customer stakeholders and executives while supporting customer champions for New Relic.
  • Share best practices and reusable assets with other Solutions Consultants.
  • Provide product feedback to help shape enhancements that better address customer needs.
  • Stay current on competitive analysis and market differentiation.
  • Support marketing activities such as events, briefings, user groups, conferences, customer references, and social campaigns.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of pre-sales experience or similar customer-facing technical experience, preferred.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools and concepts, including AWS, GCP, Azure, DevOps, CI/CD, AIOps, logging, data analytics, and visualization.
  • Experience with open source technologies such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenCensus, and ELK, preferred.
  • Development experience in one or more languages including Java, .NET, Ruby, C/C++, Python, JavaScript, or React.
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture, networking, infrastructure as code, and serverless computing.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of value-based selling in customer-facing roles.
  • Strong balance of sales, business, and technical skills.
  • Experience working with enterprise customers, especially in Digital Natives, ECommerce/Retail, Healthcare, Media and Entertainment, Telco, Financial Services, Gaming, Hospitality, or Travel.
  • Passion and energy for technology with a willingness to learn.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
