Description

  • Own and optimize the People tech stack, including HRIS, ATS, onboarding tools, and benefits platforms.
  • Build scalable People policies and documentation, including the employee handbook, job architecture, compensation bands, performance review cadence, and PIP process.
  • Design and improve remote-first onboarding and ensure multi-state compliance for a distributed U.S. workforce.
  • Lead engagement, internal communications, and culture programming, including quarterly off-sites, using data from eNPS and pulse surveys.
  • Build self-service workflows, automate recurring processes, and document systems to reduce manual work and tribal knowledge.
  • Manage and develop the TA hire responsible for sourcing, interviewing, and coordination.
  • Own recruiting infrastructure such as ATS configuration, interview loops, scorecards, offer frameworks, and employer branding.
  • Partner with leadership on workforce planning, role definition, headcount prioritization, and comp band strategy.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee questions, concerns, and sensitive situations.
  • Support managers with performance conversations, coaching, and team dynamics, and maintain feedback loops through 1:1s, exit interviews, and pulse data.

Requirements

  • 6–10 years of experience in People/HR at fast-moving startups.
  • Prior experience managing or mentoring TA or HR coordinators preferred.
  • Experience selecting and implementing HRIS, ATS, and People tools from scratch.
  • Automation-first mindset with examples of workflows or self-service systems you have built.
  • Strong operational and program management discipline with the ability to design scalable frameworks and document decisions.
  • Deep enough TA fluency to set the hiring bar, close executive candidates, and coach a recruiter.
  • Experience with remote-first distributed teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including writing policy and presenting to leadership.
  • High EQ and discretion when handling sensitive employee situations.
  • Fast technical learning and curiosity about identity security, with a bias for action.
