Description

  • Design, build, and maintain Java-based API test automation frameworks for Temporal workflows and Spring Boot services.
  • Perform functional, integration, and regression testing across staging, pre-release, and production-like web and mobile environments.
  • Create and maintain mocks and stubs for core banking interfaces to support early integration testing.
  • Define test-data needs and coordinate synthetic test profiles with the client’s testing department.
  • Integrate automated tests into GitLab CI/CD pipelines and monitor SonarQube quality gates.
  • Log, track, and investigate defects in Jira, including root-cause analysis of failed workflows.
  • Collaborate with central QA teams and business stakeholders during UAT, performance testing, and security release validation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of QA experience balancing Java automation and manual API testing in enterprise, banking, or fintech environments.
  • Proficiency in Java 17+, REST Assured, JUnit or TestNG, WireMock or Mockito, and Maven or Gradle.
  • Strong knowledge of REST API testing, JSON/XML contract validation, and HTTP protocols.
  • Experience testing asynchronous or event-driven architectures, including Kafka and background workers.
  • Experience building and maintaining custom mock services and dynamic API stubs for integration testing.
  • Experience testing multi-tier architectures, managing complex test data, and analyzing backend logs with OpenSearch/Elasticsearch and Kibana.
  • Strong experience with Git, GitLab CI/CD, Postman or Swagger, Jira, Confluence, and SonarQube.
