Description

  • Investigate fraud attacks, quantify their impact, and present clear findings that support prioritization and response.
  • Propose and refine rule-based fraud mitigations and work with fraud operations and engineering to implement them.
  • Build and maintain reports and dashboards to track fraud trends, rule performance, and operational metrics.
  • Collaborate with fraud operations, data scientists, engineers, and product managers to convert insights into action.
  • Proactively identify emerging fraud patterns and flag risks before they escalate.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a Data Analyst in fraud or a similar role, with strong accomplishments potentially offsetting fewer years.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, including writing complex queries on large datasets.
  • Experience in fraud, risk, or financial services and understanding of fraud attack patterns and mitigation trade-offs.
  • Some exposure to Python or scripting for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Proficiency with a BI tool such as PowerBI, Looker, Tableau, Superset, or Redash.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheet tools such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate and influence across fraud operations, product, engineering, and senior leadership.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort working in fast-paced, cross-functional teams with shifting priorities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Data governance experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Git or another version control tool is a plus.
