Description

  • Collect, collate, and analyse data from African countries, databases, and relevant literature.
  • Support the development of country case studies and related research reports.
  • Clean, organise, visualise, and interpret research data.
  • Prepare written findings and contribute to presentations.
  • Assist with developing social media products related to the research.
  • Collaborate with the School of Wildlife Conservation team under part-time working arrangements.
  • Identify data and information gaps related to Africa’s wildlife economy.

Requirements

  • Conservation knowledge and experience are required.
  • Strong research, writing, presenting, and interpersonal skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets and Google Docs.
  • Experience with data analysis, cleaning, and visualisation.
  • Strong attention to detail, organisation, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage a 20-hour-per-week schedule.
  • Design experience for research-related social media products.
  • Knowledge of French and/or Portuguese, particularly reading and writing, is preferred.
  • Other statistical software experience is preferred.
