Description

  • Lead customer engagements using a value-based selling approach to define the current state, desired future state, value gap, and delivery plan.
  • Manage existing customers through value realization activities to measure achieved value, identify improvements, and uncover new opportunities.
  • Develop Business Value Consulting collateral for internal and customer-facing use as MongoDB initiatives evolve or practice gaps are identified.
  • Use business, technical, and financial analysis to assess customer baseline and future-state capabilities.
  • Create and present business cases and forecast the business impact customers can achieve with MongoDB solutions.
  • Translate technical concepts and recommendations into clear business benefits for management and executive stakeholders.
  • Coach the sales organization to improve tactical and strategic opportunity success across the field sales force.
  • Mentor sellers by contributing input and recommendations to account and opportunity plans.
  • Travel as required, with frequency varying throughout the year.

Requirements

  • B.A. or B.S. from an accredited college, preferably in Business Management, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Business and Technology Strategy Consultant with business case experience.
  • 10+ years of professional experience across the IT industry, technology strategy, pre-sales consulting for software vendors, application development, and data.
  • Expert-level business and financial modeling experience, with familiarity with ROI, TCO, NPV, and IRR.
  • Strong proficiency with productivity tools, including custom spreadsheets, presentations, and data visualizations.
  • Experience leading discovery and interview sessions with business and technical stakeholders on the customer side.
  • Demonstrated experience presenting to executive- and senior-level stakeholders.
  • Strong technical understanding of enterprise infrastructure, technology stacks, software development methodologies such as SDLC, Agile, and DevOps, and RDBMS and/or NoSQL software.
  • Fluency in Spanish or Italian, both verbal and written.
  • Preferred: ability to adapt to customer situations, articulate value from both pre-sale and post-sale perspectives, and experience in a business value role for a software vendor.
