Description

  • Partner with product managers and designers to define and build features that address real user needs.
  • Design, build, and iterate on end-to-end product features spanning backend systems and frontend experiences.
  • Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using REST and/or GraphQL.
  • Build and refine frontend components in modern frameworks such as React, with attention to usability and performance.
  • Model and manage application data in relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
  • Contribute to technical design discussions and help shape pragmatic solutions aligned with product goals.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support feature delivery, rollout, and ongoing iteration.
  • Mentor engineers and help strengthen product mindset and user-centric practices across the team.
  • Provide operational support and own projects through implementation, launch, and post-launch iteration.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of full-stack software engineering experience building and shipping production web applications.
  • Strong experience building backend services and APIs, including REST and/or GraphQL.
  • Strong experience with frontend development in React or a similar modern framework, including component design, state management, and performance optimization.
  • Experience designing systems with service-to-service communication, including synchronous and asynchronous patterns.
  • Solid experience with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL, including schema design and data modeling.
  • Demonstrated ability to build end-to-end product features from technical design through implementation, rollout, and iteration.
  • Experience partnering closely with product managers and designers in a product development environment.
  • Strong skills in technical design, system thinking, and pragmatic problem-solving.
  • Track record of writing clean, maintainable, well-tested code in a collaborative engineering team.
  • Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to strong engineering standards and team culture.
  • Clear focus on user experience, product quality, and customer impact.
  • Must be able to maintain U.S. work authorization without employer sponsorship, including STEM OPT training plan support.
  • Remote work is within the USA only; the role is not eligible for remote work from Hawaii.
  • Comfort with modern AI-assisted development tools and interest in how AI can improve developer productivity and product experiences.
