Description

  • Build and maintain full-stack tools and experiences for MongoDB users across desktop and browser-based products.
  • Develop APIs and customer-facing UIs for interacting with stored data and deployment insights.
  • Contribute to frontend and backend work as needed across the product surface.
  • Design and architect modern, scalable, high-availability web applications.
  • Work on tools that help users understand the health and performance of MongoDB deployments.
  • Collaborate with teammates across the Database Experience organization.
  • Debug and resolve difficult problems in distributed environments.
  • Support MongoDB’s developer tooling ecosystem and related dependencies.
  • Help deliver database experience features for MongoDB Atlas and MongoDB Compass.

Requirements

  • Full stack engineering experience with willingness to take on both frontend and backend tasks.
  • Experience designing and architecting modern, scalable, high-availability web applications.
  • Experience working with databases.
  • Strong collaboration skills and comfort working as part of a team.
  • Approachable, curious, and intellectually honest mindset.
  • Interest in solving difficult problems in distributed environments.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and expanding technical knowledge.
  • Previous work in TypeScript, React, and Node.js, especially maintaining an ecosystem of dependencies (nice to have).
  • Experience with websocket-based client-to-server communication (nice to have).
  • Familiarity with microservice-based architectures and Kubernetes (nice to have).
  • Knowledge of database internals and tuning mechanisms, particularly indexing (nice to have).
  • Must be based in the United States and have U.S. citizenship; role is fully remote.
  • Salary range in the U.S. is $126,000 to $248,000 USD.
