Description

  • Define and implement the test automation strategy for backend systems.
  • Perform both manual and automated testing across complex software development projects.
  • Write, maintain, and execute test automation scripts.
  • Test microservices and service-oriented architectures, with a focus on API behavior and data flow.
  • Validate the performance, reliability, and quality of distributed systems powering real-time betting experiences.
  • Work in a fast-paced continuous delivery environment to support release quality.
  • Collaborate with teams across different time zones and locations.
  • Contribute to test-driven practices and quality-focused development processes.
  • Investigate issues and analyze system behavior through monitoring and log data when needed.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer or Quality Engineer in complex software development projects.
  • Experience with both manual and automated testing.
  • Ability to write and maintain test automation scripts.
  • Working knowledge of a programming language such as Java.
  • Experience testing microservices or service-oriented architectures.
  • Strong experience with API testing, especially REST APIs.
  • Understanding of data flow across distributed systems.
  • Experience with test-driven practices such as BDD or ATDD.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Expected travel time of 0%–15% across the UK and USA, depending on project or client.
  • Experience with Datadog is preferred.
  • Experience testing event-driven architectures using Kafka is preferred.
  • Experience working with cloud environments such as AWS is preferred.
  • Familiarity with BrowserStack for cross-browser testing is preferred.
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible is preferred.
  • Experience in high-traffic or real-time platforms such as betting, gaming, or fintech is preferred.
