Description

  • Develop campaigns to create awareness, generate interest, and uncover risk management opportunities within the firm.
  • Collaborate with carriers and General Agencies to design and execute customized risk mitigation plans from product selection through policy placement.
  • Manage case work including illustration, application fulfillment, and policy placement.
  • Maintain and foster client and advisor relationships through periodic policy reviews and ongoing communication.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in life insurance, long-term care, and annuity solutions.
  • Support wealth advisors by providing insurance advice, education, and guidance through a fiduciary and financial planning lens.
  • Stay current on insurance products, industry news, operational processes, and Mercer systems to improve planning and sales support.
  • Participate in advisor, branch, and regional meetings to strengthen partnership and engagement.
  • Track open opportunities and manage projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work independently and collaboratively to support the firm’s best-in-class client-advisor experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution preferred, ideally in Psychology, Business, Economics, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the financial services and/or insurance industry strongly preferred.
  • Internal and/or external sales experience strongly preferred.
  • Licensed insurance agent in good standing with a resident state license.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain multiple non-resident state insurance licenses.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and relationship management skills.
  • Passion for educating and training.
  • Strong organizational skills, detail orientation, multitasking ability, and follow-through.
  • Strong understanding of underwriting, case management, operations, and insurance new business processes and implementation timeframes.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with willingness to learn a CRM system.
  • Point of sale experience is a plus.
  • Previous Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) support is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of property and casualty insurance and disability insurance is a plus.

  • Base salary range of $102,000 to $120,000 USD.
  • Eligible for incentive compensation through Mercer Advisors' incentive compensation programs.
