Description

  • Lead client requirements-gathering sessions and document business needs.
  • Design and implement dimensional models and scalable data architectures.
  • Design, build, maintain, and support complex data integration pipelines.
  • Develop Power BI reports, dashboards, and applications.
  • Lead client working sessions, explain proposed solutions, and support pre-sales activities.
  • Troubleshoot BI solutions and improve performance, security, and data quality.
  • Manage Azure DevOps backlogs and sprints while leading project delivery.
  • Oversee project teams and source code using Agile delivery methods.
  • Mentor junior team members and support their professional development.
  • Identify optimization opportunities, delegate client requests, and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with data warehousing, including Azure, SQL, Synapse, Spark, or Delta Lake.
  • Experience with ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory pipelines or SSIS, Analysis Services, DAX, and Power BI Pro or Premium.
  • High-level understanding of Azure cloud data platforms and services.
  • Experience designing and implementing data solutions for complex business problems and large data volumes; manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Kimball dimensional modeling and batch or incremental ETL development.
  • Experience with database and pipeline performance tuning, data quality monitoring, and data governance methodologies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent education and experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft ERP and CRM tools preferred.
  • Remote work from a home office with approximately 10% travel as needed; posting also notes travel greater than 25%.
