Description

  • Lead new business acquisition by targeting new logo accounts and supporting expansion opportunities.
  • Develop and execute outbound sales motions to build and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
  • Manage a large, active pipeline and move opportunities quickly from lead generation through contract execution.
  • Prospect, identify, and engage key stakeholders to uncover revenue opportunities and grow the customer base.
  • Qualify leads, conduct virtual product demonstrations, and negotiate and close deals.
  • Sell to SMB and mid-market clients, as well as some greenfield enterprise accounts, by understanding their business needs.
  • Maintain accurate forecasts and detailed records of customer interactions and pipeline status in SFDC and Clari.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and sales leadership to improve outbound strategy, lead qualification, and onboarding.
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitors, and MariaDB solutions to position offerings effectively.
  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and KPIs in a high-volume environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in a quota-carrying, closing sales role within a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Proven success in a high-volume, high-velocity sales environment with short sales cycles.
  • Experience as a dedicated sales hunter focused on new logo acquisition and outbound pipeline generation.
  • Experience closing deals with SMB and mid-market clients.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to handle objections and sell at a senior level.
  • Fluency in English and German, written and verbal, is required.
  • Proficiency with CRM software such as SFDC and sales engagement tools such as Sales Navigator, Salesloft, and Clari.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience, is preferred.
  • Database sales experience is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% to company and customer locations.
