Description

  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with clients and key decision-makers at loan originators seeking third-party diligence for securitization or buy/sell projects.
  • Identify and engage active participants in the capital markets loan purchase and sale environment.
  • Research and connect with loan originators, banks, special servicers, debt funds, private lenders, hedge funds, CDO/CLO managers, and other market participants to source projects and support opportunities.
  • Drive new business development while maintaining relationships with existing clients.
  • Represent the organization at industry conferences and events and meet with current and prospective clients.
  • Develop and share strategic ideas to improve client engagement and strengthen market leadership.
  • Maintain tracking and reporting of business development initiatives to support transparency and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with the Loan Sale Advisory Team to align loan sale and due diligence opportunities and support loan sale transaction execution.

Requirements

  • Director or Vice President level candidate with broad knowledge of the bank and non-bank lending market.
  • Familiarity with single-family mortgage debt originators and capital market participants.
  • Knowledge of new originations, performing, re-performing, sub-performing, and distressed asset classes.
  • Extensive relationships with a wide range of loan origination companies.
  • Investment banking and/or origination secondary marketing trading experience.
  • Experience in mortgage, real estate, or structured products at a financial services or real estate private equity firm, such as a bank, consulting/accounting firm, REIT, or hedge fund.
  • Alternative background in structured products, lending, special servicing, corporate development, or real estate underwriting/investment analysis at a financial institution.
  • Residential loan sales experience at an established brokerage/advisory firm is preferred; consumer loan and/or MSR sales experience is a plus.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and database skills; Salesforce experience is a plus.
  • Strong business writing skills, attention to detail, ability to work as part of a team, strong drive, and genuine interest in debt capital markets and real estate.
