Description

  • Lead delivery and client engagement efforts across a portfolio of strategic contracts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government partners at the agency level.
  • Proactively identify delivery, staffing, financial, and contract risks and coordinate resolution with stakeholders.
  • Engage clients continuously to understand needs, align on vision, and communicate progress transparently.
  • Collaborate across delivery teams and the organization to anticipate and solve problems.
  • Support trust-based delivery environments between government partners and the Nava team.
  • Scale program efforts through project managers and functional delivery leads.
  • Manage contracts and finances for the portfolio in coordination with the finance team.
  • Coordinate contract modifications, including CLINs, option years, and negotiations with prime contractors.
  • Set and uphold standards for delivery excellence, client service, and program-level policy compliance.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience overseeing delivery outcomes and client relationships for small- to medium-sized projects.
  • Experience with custom software or cloud infrastructure programs/projects.
  • Experience working with or for government agencies.
  • Experience growing agile development teams and managing projects at scale.
  • Ability to lead complex projects with significant milestones, dependencies, integrations, risk, uncertainty, or scale.
  • Experience using agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe, plus familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery practices.
  • Strong empathetic communication and relationship-building skills with a service-oriented approach.
  • Adaptable problem-solving skills for multi-dimensional challenges involving organizations, processes, cultures, and technologies.
  • Highly organized with a strategic approach to delivery planning and contract management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain broader situational awareness beyond the immediate team.
  • Occasional travel required.
  • Program management experience within a government space (preferred).
  • Experience launching new production systems with high public visibility (preferred).
  • Experience with long-term, complex, and ambiguous IT modernization efforts (preferred).
  • Experience using project management tools such as Jira and Confluence (preferred).
  • Experience managing projects that include production operations and support alongside ongoing product development (preferred).
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • Work authorization that does not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Ability to meet government contract requirements, including possible background check or security clearance.
  • Must reside in one of the approved U.S. states for remote work, or in the contiguous United States.
