Description

  • Translate operational problems into end-to-end analytical approaches and determine when machine learning is appropriate.
  • Develop, train, and evaluate forecasting, classification, and natural language models.
  • Own models from prototyping through production deployment, retraining, monitoring, and drift detection.
  • Partner with data engineering teams to build data collection, cleansing, storage, and integration pipelines.
  • Deploy models in government-controlled environments while meeting federal bias evaluation and documentation requirements.
  • Validate model results and communicate findings, limitations, and uncertainty to nontechnical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree and 18+ years of analytics, data science, or machine learning experience.
  • Production experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras, including GPU-accelerated training.
  • Demonstrated ownership of models from problem framing through deployment and monitoring.
  • Experience building scalable data pipelines, including storage and retrieval systems.
  • Experience deploying models in government-controlled environments rather than public AI services.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust background investigation.
  • U.S. citizenship and physical residence in the United States for at least three years.
  • Experience with federal health IT programs, logistics forecasting, MLOps tools, NLP, government cloud regions, SAFe, or federal IT governance preferred.
