Description

  • Investigate and prioritize predictive signals across student engagement, outcomes, and partner health.
  • Build, deploy, schedule, monitor, and retire predictive models used in partner workflows.
  • Set actionable thresholds, evaluate performance across student populations, and document model limitations.
  • Apply embeddings, clustering, and classification to conversational and other unstructured data.
  • Own AI data tooling, including verified queries, prompts, agent tooling, semantic views, and evaluation frameworks.
  • Define evaluation standards, sampling methods, rubrics, and reporting for models and prompt changes.
  • Create reusable analyses, tools, training, and documentation for internal teams.
  • Collaborate with data, analytics, engineering, product, and partner-facing teams on maintainable solutions.
  • Contribute to dbt and code-reviewed workflows while improving shared data definitions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years building predictive models that were used operationally, including experience owning ambiguous problems.
  • Practical NLP experience with text classification, clustering, embeddings, or similar applied methods.
  • Strong SQL and working Python skills for modeling and analysis.
  • Solid applied statistics and judgment regarding methodology, uncertainty, calibration, and data limitations.
  • Experience with a modern cloud warehouse such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Databricks, preferably with in-warehouse AI or agent tooling.
  • Experience productionizing model output and scheduling and monitoring recurring production jobs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Experience with version control and code review for reproducible work.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize ambiguous business problems and deliver measurable value.
  • Experience with dbt, dimensional modeling, analytics engineering, AI or prompt evaluation, BI tools, computational linguistics, or EdTech is preferred.
