Description

  • Collaborate with engineering, product, data science, and other teams to address security and anti-abuse problems.
  • Create datasets, metrics, and experiments to understand attacker and user behavior and guide security strategy.
  • Build detections, improve signal quality, and measure coverage across products, platforms, and internal systems.
  • Lead and support security investigations, including incident scoping, root-cause analysis, and response improvement.
  • Translate threat intelligence into detection priorities, high-risk surface hardening, and security strategy.
  • Conduct investigations and security design reviews to identify existing and emerging attack vectors.
  • Advocate for secure practices across Figma.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of real-world security, anti-abuse, detection, and response challenges.
  • Fluency in SQL and proficiency in Python, R, or a similar scripting language.
  • Experience with distributed data processing systems such as Hive, Redshift, Presto, Snowflake, or Spark.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical methods and experimental design.
  • Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills; a self-starting mindset is preferred.
  • Ability to work full time from a U.S. hub or remotely within the United States.
