Description

  • Define and standardize cancellation reasons, retention, persistency, and save-rate metrics with BI, analytics, and actuarial partners.
  • Analyze voluntary churn using retainable versus non-retainable cancellations, cohorts, survival curves, acquisition sources, and tenure.
  • Analyze involuntary churn, including payment failures, decline codes, card brands, funding types, recovery activity, and recovered premium.
  • Measure acquisition-channel quality by partner and representative, ranking campaigns by retained value.
  • Connect NPS and CSAT changes to segment-level retention while accounting for survey-mix effects.
  • Own the lifecycle experimentation portfolio from hypothesis development through readout, decisions, and documentation.
  • Build, reconcile, and back-test separate voluntary and involuntary churn forecasts.
  • Develop save-desk analytics covering save rate, cost per save, offer effectiveness, win-back, and agent performance across 27 agents.
  • Present retention findings and forecasts to executives and defend evidence-based conclusions.
  • Establish recurring retention reporting, production attribution, and documented measurement of initiative outcomes.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of analytics experience, including meaningful experience in subscription, insurance, or other renewal-based businesses.
  • Advanced SQL skills and the ability to work independently in a modern data warehouse.
  • Expertise in retention and survival analysis, including cohorts, survival curves, and hazard modeling.
  • Demonstrated experimentation experience influencing real business decisions and evaluating statistical noise.
  • Forecasting experience with accountability for model accuracy and back-testing.
  • Ability to present unwelcome findings to executives and maintain an evidence-based position.
  • Strong written communication skills, particularly for analytical documents.
  • Experience with payments or billing analytics, including decline codes, retries, and dunning is preferred.
  • Python or R experience is preferred.
  • Experience in pet or P&C insurance, actuarial partnership, contact-center analytics, or analytics engineering is preferred.
