Description

  • Identify, assess, and prioritize new market and product opportunities for Leap’s virtual power plant platform.
  • Build and maintain relationships with utilities, retailers, and other buyers of energy, capacity, and ancillary services in North American markets.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams, clients, and partners to support successful market entry.
  • Track market trends and identify future opportunities for Leap in existing and new markets.
  • Organize market and product information to inform Product, Engineering, and Operations teams.
  • Evaluate future markets and programs for Leap to enter.
  • Support expansion efforts by helping advance client and partner opportunities.
  • Contribute input on market requirements and product needs for platform development.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in wholesale electricity markets, policy, utility demand response programs, new market entry, or Distributed Energy Resources.
  • Ability to investigate and synthesize complex policies and market rules.
  • Ability to communicate key concepts effectively to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in policy analysis, market research and assessment, and/or data analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and/or projects effectively.
  • Experience with North American, Japan, the UK, and/or European markets (preferred).
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and independently in an autonomous environment (preferred).
  • Experience tracking and advocating in regulatory proceedings in the energy sector (preferred).
  • Experience thriving in remote or hybrid environments across time zones with asynchronous communication and strong time management (preferred).
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
