Description

  • Lead AccuWeather’s global AI business development strategy in alignment with corporate growth objectives and the AI/data roadmap.
  • Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and close strategic AI partnerships across LLM platforms, generative AI companies, enterprise SaaS providers, cloud partners, and data licensing partners.
  • Develop revenue-generating AI data licensing agreements using proprietary weather datasets, forecasting systems, and predictive analytics capabilities.
  • Structure complex commercial agreements including data licensing, revenue share, API partnerships, co-development agreements, and joint go-to-market initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Product and Technology leadership to turn AI capabilities into scalable commercial offerings and partner-ready solutions.
  • Build and maintain senior executive relationships across the AI and technology ecosystem.
  • Lead cross-functional deal teams through evaluation, diligence, financial modeling, negotiation, and execution.
  • Monitor AI market trends, competitive dynamics, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies to inform partnership strategy and investment priorities.
  • Develop and mentor a high-performing AI-focused business development team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or corporate development, with significant focus on AI, data, or technology-driven businesses.
  • Demonstrated track record of structuring and closing complex strategic partnerships involving AI platforms, data licensing, APIs, or enterprise technology solutions.
  • Experience negotiating multiyear commercial agreements with global technology companies.
  • Strong financial acumen, including experience building business cases, revenue models, and partnership frameworks.
  • Experience working with large language model providers, generative AI companies, or hyperscale cloud platforms preferred.
  • Background in data-driven businesses, analytics platforms, SaaS, automotive technology, connected devices, or digital media preferred.
  • Experience commercializing proprietary datasets in AI training, inference, or enterprise decision-support environments preferred.
  • Global deal-making experience across North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific preferred.
  • Deep understanding of artificial intelligence, machine learning ecosystems, data infrastructure, and API-based business models.
