Description

  • Lead, recruit, hire, train, and coach a field team of Medical Science Liaisons across the West region.
  • Partner with Regional Sales Directors and Clinical Sales Managers to support pre- and post-sale activities and help close business clinically.
  • Build and execute a coordinated scientific and commercial partnership strategy to improve account development and test utilization.
  • Deliver formal scientific presentations and educational programs to clinicians and healthcare stakeholders using approved clinical evidence and materials.
  • Support institutions in developing best practices, protocols, and workflows that maximize the utility of Karius tests.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clinical champions, key opinion leaders, advisors, consultants, investigators, and strategic partners.
  • Align Medical and Commercial teams to ensure consistent field execution and a seamless customer experience.
  • Review promotional, educational, and marketing materials for scientific and medical accuracy.
  • Maintain current expertise in infectious diseases, diagnostics, and the clinical applications of the Karius Test.
  • Gather field insights and customer feedback to inform marketing, evidence generation, product development, and strategy.

Requirements

  • Advanced clinical degree such as PharmD, NP, or PA-C.
  • 5+ years of experience managing a team preferred.
  • Measurable experience as a clinician or nurse required.
  • Familiarity with infectious disease diagnosis, treatment, and/or microbiology/virology methods required.
  • Experience in hospital-based product or clinical process implementation, quality improvement projects, and/or diagnostic stewardship committee involvement preferred.
  • Experience sourcing and recruiting top talent preferred.
  • Experience supporting sales teams in complex diagnostic sales highly desirable.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, and contact management databases such as Salesforce.
  • Knowledge of medical institution hierarchy, with sales experience and knowledge of laboratory workflow, fiscal operations, and cfDNA technology as pluses.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $148,000 to $222,000 per year.
  • Remote West region role with travel up to 70%.
