Description

  • Develop highly reliable software solutions used across K2 Space, from factory floors to mission control.
  • Create and evolve applications that improve how spacecraft are designed, built, and operated.
  • Partner with engineers, business stakeholders, and leaders to understand challenges and design efficient solutions.
  • Build prototypes to test concepts and validate technical constraints.
  • Turn prototypes into working product features.
  • Own full-lifecycle feature development from inception through customer adoption.
  • Contribute to software features and bug fixes.
  • Evaluate engineering tradeoffs and communicate them to senior engineers and other stakeholders.
  • Work with customers to improve product usability and drive adoption.
  • Develop solutions with minimal oversight based on priorities from senior staff.
  • Help build a culture of transparency, empathy, integrity, and engineering excellence.
  • Mentor other team members and strengthen engineering practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, mathematics, or a STEM discipline, or 1-3+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
  • 1+ years of experience in full stack development, platform engineering, or API development.
  • 1+ years of experience with AWS.
  • 1+ years of in-depth experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI/CD.
  • 1+ years of in-depth experience with Git and Docker.
  • 1+ years of in-depth experience with Kubernetes, preferably AWS EKS.
  • Experience with one or more static-typed programming languages such as C#.NET, Go, or Java.
  • 1+ years of experience with structured databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Snowflake, or similar technologies.
  • 1+ years of experience with unstructured databases such as NoSQL, Amazon DynamoDB, MongoDB, or similar.
  • Experience with software engineering best practices.
  • Experience with REST APIs or gRPC.
  • Experience with binary management platforms such as JFrog Artifactory or AWS CodeArtifact.
  • Experience with infrastructure orchestration and management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.
  • Experience with OAuth 2.0 and OIDC.
  • Preferred: experience with Next.js, React, Angular, or similar frameworks.
  • Preferred: experience with TypeScript.
  • Preferred: experience with testing tools such as Cucumber and Cypress.
  • Preferred: foundational knowledge of scalable, high-performance software systems.
  • Preferred: knowledge of build systems and package management tools such as Make, Gradle, npm, or pip.
  • Must be a U.S. person or otherwise eligible for a federally issued export control license under ITAR.

  • Base salary range of $123,000 to $160,000 plus equity.
