Description

  • Architect and integrate AI-driven, LLM-powered tools into the platform ecosystem.
  • Design self-healing infrastructure and automated root-cause analysis workflows to reduce operational toil and speed incident resolution.
  • Drive the roadmap for GCP and Kubernetes-based cloud capabilities.
  • Define, build, and maintain SLOs and incident management processes for the platform.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and use operational insights to harden system reliability.
  • Design and maintain platform security controls, including access controls, encryption, and vulnerability management.
  • Manage cloud capacity and FinOps efforts to improve scaling efficiency and cost transparency.
  • Transform CI/CD, deployment, and build tooling into a self-service developer platform.
  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and deliver resilient, product-level fixes.
  • Mentor junior engineers and help foster a customer-focused engineering culture.

Requirements

  • Deep proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is required; AWS experience is a strong plus.
  • Extensive experience operating self-managed and cloud-managed Kubernetes architectures at scale.
  • Experience managing and scaling data storage and streaming systems such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, and Kafka.
  • Strong software development skills in high-level languages such as Python, Go, Java, or TypeScript.
  • Experience building secure, self-service infrastructure with Terraform and declarative CI/CD pipelines using ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, and TeamCity.
  • Proficiency with modern AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or Claude.
  • Ability to critically review AI-generated code for security, correctness, and long-term maintainability.
  • Experience designing scalable monitoring and tracing frameworks based on OpenTelemetry.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud networking, protocols, and security best practices.
  • Software development skillset plus strong analytical and communication skills for cross-functional platform work.
