Description

  • Oversee implementation, monitoring, maintenance, and support of global LAN, WAN, wireless, and VPN infrastructure.
  • Manage lifecycle, configuration, and vendor relationships for network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless controllers.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and resolve escalated Tier 1/2 network and helpdesk issues.
  • Maintain network diagrams, configurations, procedures, and knowledge-base documentation.
  • Lead operational integration of newly acquired subsidiaries into a unified network environment.
  • Design and execute repeatable site deployment plans for office buildouts, expansions, and maintenance.
  • Support rollout of Zero Trust architecture, network segmentation, IAM alignment, MDM, and Conditional Access policies.
  • Ensure corporate and subsidiary network environments meet CMMC, SOC2 Type II, NIST SP 800-171, CUI, and ITAR requirements.
  • Protect quantum computing resources through secure VPNs and IP-restricted access controls.
  • Mentor and upskill junior administrators, Help Desk staff, and contractor teams.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of experience in network engineering and administration.
  • 3-5 years of experience in leadership, project management, or operations management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, OSPF, and BGP.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise firewalls, secure VPN tunneling, and access control lists.
  • Experience building, auditing, or maintaining networks in regulated environments such as SOC2 Type II or CMMC.
  • Familiarity with migrations from on-prem Active Directory to cloud identity platforms such as JumpCloud or Okta.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills with subsidiary IT leads, internal stakeholders, and vendors.
  • Ability to participate in after-hours on-call rotation and travel occasionally.
  • Preferred certifications such as CCNP, PCNSE, or NSE 4–7.
  • Preferred experience in aerospace, defense, or deep tech environments.
  • Preferred experience with cloud networking platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Preferred experience using network automation tools and scripting languages such as Python or Ansible.
