Description

  • Build and maintain services and tooling that automate the network lifecycle, including day-0 provisioning, day-N changes, drift detection, and operational verification.
  • Create CI/CD workflows, diff and review tooling, staged rollouts and rollbacks, audit trails, and guardrails that make network changes safe and transparent.
  • Develop observability systems across multiple sites, including telemetry pipelines, signal-quality tooling, and incident investigation support.
  • Integrate source-of-truth data, expose APIs, and build reliable automation that closes gaps between the network and the platform.
  • Collaborate closely with network engineers and SREs to turn operational pain points into product-quality tooling.
  • Manage large-scale projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Break down complex tasks and guide your own work and the work of more junior colleagues.
  • Contribute to system design and architectural decisions.
  • Write high-quality code and serve as a reference for specific technologies.
  • Participate in hiring and interviews, and mentor others by sharing knowledge.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, or equivalent practical background.
  • Strong coding skills and an ownership mindset with the ability to ship and operate reliable services.
  • Proficiency in Go, or readiness to switch to Go; Python is also welcome.
  • Interest in infrastructure and/or networking, even without being a network expert.
  • Background in networking, such as prior network engineering experience, CCNP/education, or data center networking exposure, is a plus.
  • Experience building automation or infrastructure tooling, such as CI/CD, IaC, testing and staging environments, or network-as-code workflows, is a plus.
  • Low-level networking or datapath experience, such as eBPF/XDP, DPDK, kernel networking, or traffic processing systems, is a plus.
  • Experience designing high-load services and observability platforms, including metrics, logs, traces, alerting, and regression detection, is a plus.
  • Contributions to open source or experience extending and debugging OSS components in production environments are a plus.
  • Must be authorized to work in the country of application and able to provide proof of employment eligibility.
