Description

  • Own and lead major workstreams from project inception through timely, high-quality launch.
  • Influence team direction and roadmap through technical vision and product judgment.
  • Produce technical artifacts such as design documents and runbooks.
  • Write high-quality code and participate in code reviews.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation and resolve production issues proactively.
  • Mentor other engineers and help improve team effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to align on product development and drive outcomes.
  • Build and improve business-focused capabilities, UX flows, and new application surfaces for B2B users.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Strong ownership mindset and entrepreneurial spirit focused on delivering launches and results.
  • Strong product sense and the ability to think strategically about roadmap direction.
  • Collaborative experience working with engineers, designers, and product managers across multiple teams.
  • Expertise in one or more backend languages such as Ruby, Java, or Python.
  • Strong technical acumen and technical writing skills for scalable, maintainable system design.
  • Solid communication skills, including comfort seeking and receiving feedback.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and influence stakeholders at manager, director, and VP levels.
  • Preferred: expertise in Ruby with a solid understanding of Rails.
  • Preferred: experience with monitoring and observability tools like Datadog.
  • Preferred: prior experience in B2B and/or e-commerce.
