Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and delivery to feature stores, model-training workflows, and real-time inference services.
  • Build workflows for extracting, storing, and retrieving semantic representations of unstructured data to support advanced search and retrieval use cases.
  • Architect and implement lightweight analytics and dashboarding solutions with natural language query experiences and AI-backed insights.
  • Define and execute prompt engineering, orchestration, and model fine-tuning processes for conversational interfaces.
  • Oversee vector data stores and develop indexing methods to support retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) workflows.
  • Partner with data stakeholders to gather requirements for language-model initiatives and translate them into scalable solutions.
  • Create and maintain documentation for data processes, workflows, and model deployment routines.
  • Stay current on emerging methodologies in data engineering, MLOps, and LLM operations.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, including 2+ years focused on MLOps.
  • Excellent English communication skills, with strong oral and written communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated experience using Python for data engineering, transformation, advanced data manipulation, and large-scale data processing.
  • Deep understanding of vector databases and RAG architectures.
  • Experience integrating open-source LLM frameworks into data engineering workflows for model training, customization, and scalable inference.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure Machine Learning for managed LLM deployments.
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Spark, Hadoop, and Kafka for distributed processing and real-time data ingestion.
  • Experience designing complex data pipelines from RDBMS, JSON, API, and flat file sources.
  • Strong SQL and PLSQL programming skills, with advanced BI and data warehouse experience and familiarity with relational databases and cloud data platforms such as Snowflake or Redshift.
  • Understanding of software engineering principles, Unix/Linux/Windows operating systems, and Agile methodologies.
  • Proficiency with version control systems and collaborative development workflows.
  • Interest in business operations and understanding of how BI systems support data-driven decision-making and profitability.
  • Preferred: Experience with vector databases such as DataStax AstraDB and LLM application frameworks like LangChain and LlamaIndex.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Hugging Face Transformers/LLaMA-4, including fine-tuning and inference optimization.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of MLOps tooling and CI/CD pipelines for model versioning and automated deployments.
