Description

  • Gather technical requirements, discover use cases, and analyze mobile platforms for transactional experiences.
  • Analyze problems, identify root causes, and define resolution options.
  • Evaluate vendor documentation and technical requirements to estimate time and cost.
  • Create architecture recommendations, software requirements specifications, and mobile architecture documents.
  • Define and maintain the technology stack, including tools, frameworks, and platform choices.
  • Map integration points across third-party APIs, native device capabilities, and platform services.
  • Partner with backend and middleware teams to negotiate API contracts and mobile-friendly interfaces.
  • Lead implementation, customization, and integration efforts across iOS and Android.
  • Serve as the primary technical contact for clients, vendors, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare and deliver technical proposals and presentations to client stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 7–10+ years of experience developing and leading large-scale technology engagements, including at least 2 years in an agency or consultancy environment.
  • Experience delivering solutions for large multinational brands.
  • Expert-level React Native experience with production apps on both iOS and Android.
  • Strong understanding of native mobile development fundamentals, including iOS (Swift/Objective-C) and Android (Kotlin/Java).
  • Deep knowledge of React Native architecture patterns, including Fabric, JSI, TurboModules, state management, and performance optimization.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript (ES202x), and Node.js.
  • Strong understanding of mobile performance profiling, memory management, and optimization strategies.
  • Experience with REST and GraphQL API design and consumption, including offline-first architecture and local persistence.
  • Experience integrating native modules and third-party SDKs such as analytics, push notifications, payments, authentication, and deep linking.
  • Familiarity with mobile commerce and native payment integrations such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, Stripe, and in-app purchases (preferred).
  • Experience with mobile security best practices, including secure storage, certificate pinning, authentication flows, and OWASP mobile guidelines.
  • Strong background in mobile testing using Jest, Detox, and Appium.
  • Experience building mobile CI/CD pipelines with Fastlane, Bitrise, or GitHub Actions, and managing App Store and Google Play releases.
  • Familiarity with OTA update solutions such as Expo EAS or CodePush, and staged rollouts.
  • Strong object-oriented design skills and familiarity with MVC, MVVM, and Clean Architecture.
  • Experience with enterprise-scale mobile design systems and component libraries.
  • Knowledge of mobile accessibility standards and inclusive design principles.
  • Demonstrated leadership of technology teams with 8+ members, including distributed nearshore and offshore teams.
  • Ability to mentor and guide junior technical team members.
  • Advanced C1-level English fluency with excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
  • If selected with an Engineering or related degree, a professional license is required for Colombia verification.
