Description

  • Develop pricing and packaging strategies across subscriptions, bundles, add-ons, usage-based capabilities, services, and new products.
  • Establish customer segmentation and lead qualitative and quantitative research programs.
  • Design pricing, packaging, positioning, and offer experiments with defined hypotheses, metrics, and decision criteria.
  • Partner with Product, Finance, Data, Engineering, Billing, Legal, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to implement approved changes.
  • Build financial models and business cases covering acquisition, conversion, revenue, expansion, retention, margin, and lifetime value.
  • Monitor monetization performance, including plan mix, conversion, add-on attachment, expansion, churn, net revenue retention, and gross margin.
  • Maintain competitive and market intelligence across relevant SaaS, agency technology, CRM, communications, AI, and adjacent categories.
  • Establish cross-functional pricing governance, decision rights, measurement standards, and executive reporting.
  • Build a centralized customer-insights repository and translate research into product, roadmap, positioning, onboarding, and go-to-market decisions.
  • Initially operate as a hands-on leader and develop a future team across pricing, monetization analytics, and customer insights.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in SaaS pricing, monetization, product strategy, customer insights, growth strategy, consulting, corporate strategy, or related fields.
  • Direct experience leading pricing and packaging decisions for a B2B SaaS, platform, or technology company.
  • Experience translating customer research and data into product, pricing, packaging, or go-to-market changes.
  • Strong understanding of subscription economics, usage-based pricing, expansion revenue, retention, gross margin, and customer lifetime value.
  • Experience with multi-product or multi-tier offerings and pricing changes affecting existing and new customers.
  • Strong quantitative, financial modeling, commercial judgment, and executive communication skills.
  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative research, including interviews, segmentation, surveys, willingness-to-pay analysis, concept testing, conjoint analysis, and behavioral analysis.
  • Ability to influence Product, Finance, Data, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success leaders in a fast-moving environment.
  • Player-coach approach with the ability to define strategy, conduct research, analyze data, build business cases, and support execution.
  • Preferred: experience with product-led growth, agency or SMB software, reseller or white-label models, marketplaces, usage-based products, SQL, experimentation platforms, BI tools, or product analytics systems.
