Description

  • Own the commercial innovation roadmap across new product formats, distribution channels, and customer segments.
  • Synthesize consumer trends, competitive activity, and analogous business models to inform opportunity identification.
  • Build business cases for priority initiatives, including market sizing, financial modeling, benchmarking, and feasibility analysis.
  • Present recommendations and supporting data to senior leadership to secure internal alignment and resources.
  • Source, structure, and close strategic partnerships with external organizations at senior executive levels.
  • Drive pilots from concept to launch and coordinate cross-functionally to bring MVPs to market.
  • Develop go-to-market strategies for new product and channel launches, including positioning, pricing, sequencing, and conversion logic.
  • Act as the internal champion for commercial innovation and build stakeholder alignment around priorities.
  • Manage a portfolio of active initiatives simultaneously, balancing exploration, pilots, and partnerships.

Requirements

  • 6–9+ years of experience in strategy, business development, new ventures, management consulting, investment banking, or a related field.
  • Meaningful experience building something new, not just analyzing it.
  • A track record of identifying, scoping, and closing commercial partnerships or launching new business initiatives.
  • Experience in consumer, e-commerce, subscription, DTC, or CPG businesses is strongly preferred.
  • Food industry experience is a plus but not required.
  • Financial modeling skills and the ability to make sound decisions with incomplete data and tight timelines.
  • Experience taking a concept from zero to launch, including scrappy pilots.
  • Exceptional cross-functional coordination ability across Product, Marketing, Legal, Finance, and Operations teams.
  • An MBA or equivalent graduate training is preferred but not required.
