Description

  • Architect, design, and develop AWS-based services and applications for the product creation platform.
  • Set and influence engineering standards across the organization.
  • Lead adoption of AI-assisted development tooling and improve review standards and quality gates.
  • Own technical decisions end-to-end, including tradeoff analysis, alignment, and execution.
  • Translate business challenges into scalable software solutions with product owners and cross-functional partners.
  • Mentor teammates through technical direction, code reviews, and design reviews.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and a high-performing team culture.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience.
  • 2+ years in a lead, staff, or senior+ engineering capacity.
  • Experience building and operating production-grade enterprise software.
  • Deep understanding of application and distributed system design and architecture patterns.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development workflows and the ability to evaluate AI-generated code against production standards.
  • Proficiency in C#/.NET, Java, Go, or comparable languages.
  • Experience with AWS, Docker, ECS/EKS, CI/CD pipelines, REST APIs, event-driven systems, and relational database design.
  • Proven ability to develop engineers through pairing, feedback, and career conversations.
  • Strong ownership and communication skills to drive outcomes across technical and non-technical partners.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience with React.js or other frontend frameworks (nice to have).
  • Familiarity with Kafka, AWS SNS/SQS, Kubernetes, Terraform, or infrastructure-as-code practices (nice to have).
  • Curiosity about or knowledge of Wizards brands (nice to have).
