Description

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for HR-related inquiries from US employees and provide prompt, solution-oriented support.
  • Own and manage the US onboarding process, including coordination with internal teams and completion of required documentation.
  • Manage the offboarding process for terminations, resignations, and mutual separations, including system updates and compliance checks.
  • Maintain internal HR systems, trackers, and controls to reflect employee data and status changes accurately.
  • Administer employee benefits and pension processes, including enrollments, changes, renewals, and vendor communications.
  • Partner with payroll to provide timely employee data for payroll runs, salary updates, time off, and related changes.
  • Coordinate onboarding timing with Sales and Portfolio Managers and ensure onboarding materials remain current and compliant.
  • Process employee vacation, leave, and other statutory or company-specific leave requests while ensuring compliance and accurate tracking.
  • Support expense reimbursement processing and timeclock/timesheet review where applicable.
  • Draft and manage HR documents such as employment addendums, work certification letters, and other required documentation.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of hands-on HR experience in the US, with experience across multiple states required.
  • Solid knowledge of US employment practices, state requirements, HR operations, and employee relations.
  • Experience with state variations in labor legislation is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Familiarity with HRIS and payroll tools for data management, reporting, and benefits administration.
  • Comfort working with technology-driven processes, including digital workflows, AI tools, and business applications.
  • Proven experience managing employee benefits, including enrollment, annual renewals, and vendor invoice analysis.
  • Fluency in English is required; Spanish is a strong asset.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
  • High integrity, professionalism, discretion, adaptability, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Canadian HR policies or systems is a plus.
