Description

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Time & Attendance matters and support complex projects and client guidance related to employment law changes and Collective Bargaining Agreement updates.
  • Manage employee lifecycle leave and working-hours cases end to end, including Family Leave, Sick Leave, Time Tracking, Public Holidays, and Working Time matters.
  • Advise clients and employees on employment legislation, contract terms, and labor law interpretations with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders such as payroll, legal counsel, and government bodies to ensure compliance.
  • Support critical initiatives affecting employees across multiple countries and assist with HR and financial audits.
  • Develop, update, and maintain global internal documentation on Time & Attendance in response to legislative changes.
  • Identify and contribute to process improvements, automation, and product enhancements that improve customer and employee experience.
  • Safely manage employee data and confidential information while following established protocols.
  • Proactively respond to internal and external inquiries on employment matters in collaboration with lifecycle stakeholders.
  • Promote Remote’s values and contribute to the success of the Lifecycle team.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing employee lifecycle events with care, sensitivity, and legal compliance.
  • Experience providing HR support and guidance on employment laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Strong communication, influencing, conflict management, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to lead difficult conversations professionally and maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Advanced business-level written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Aptitude and enthusiasm for process innovation, automation, and best practices.
  • Strong operational discipline with attention to documentation quality and data integrity.
  • Comfort working asynchronously with various tools in a fast-paced, remote, international environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple priorities, with willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
  • Familiarity with Notion, Slack, Zendesk, and G Suite; foundational understanding of AI applications in operations and automation.
  • Preferred: experience managing long-term sick leave or extended absence cases end to end, including eligibility, documentation, pay, benefits, and stakeholder coordination.
