Description

  • Prepare and distribute HR documents for employees and contractors, including offer letters, employment verifications, and policy acknowledgements.
  • Support employee status changes such as promotions, transfers, compensation updates, and terminations.
  • Provide administrative support across People Operations initiatives.
  • Respond to employee questions about policies, benefits, and HR programs.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, surveys, recognition programs, and company events.
  • Coordinate interviews, candidate scheduling, job postings, and interview logistics.
  • Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS and personnel files, and support audits and reporting requests.
  • Assist with payroll processes by providing accurate employee data and change reporting.
  • Facilitate onboarding by coordinating welcome sessions and ensuring new hires have access to essential tools and platforms.
  • Support offboarding by preparing final documentation and coordinating exit interviews.

Requirements

  • 2–3+ years of US HR specialist experience, preferably in a startup environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with empathy and clarity.
  • Ability to quickly learn new tools and take a solution-oriented approach to technology.
  • Genuine passion for mental health and alignment with values of compassion, integrity, and high emotional intelligence.
  • Willingness to work US hours, Monday through Friday.
  • Willingness to work remotely.
  • Experience conducting audits to ensure compliance with health care laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Experience tracking reported compliance issues and inquiries or complaints.
  • Ability to analyze data to identify opportunities to improve compliance programs and compliance culture.
  • Experience researching, interpreting, and implementing federal, state, and local regulatory mandates.
  • Experience supporting third-party oversight related to compliance requirements.
  • Experience assisting with communication and education initiatives delivered by Compliance.
  • Experience producing department and organizational compliance reports.
  • Experience assisting with regular Compliance Program risk assessments.
