Description

  • Own and manage a broad mid-market book of business as the primary point of contact for new and expansion opportunities.
  • Prospect, qualify, and advance opportunities to build a healthy pipeline and support revenue goals.
  • Run disciplined sales cycles by documenting buying criteria, decision processes, next steps, and key stakeholders.
  • Articulate GitLab’s value proposition to mid-market prospects and customers based on their business and technical needs.
  • Collaborate with sales development, solutions consultants, renewals, marketing, partners, and technical teams to co-sell and close opportunities.
  • Support customer adoption, reduce churn and contraction, and participate in quarterly forecasting and territory planning.
  • Share win/loss insights, update sales handbook content, and provide customer feedback to the product team through the public issue tracker.
  • Lead value-based conversations with technical and business stakeholders throughout the sales process.

Requirements

  • Must be located in a U.S. Central, Mountain, or Pacific Timezone.
  • Experience selling SaaS solutions through value-based conversations with technical and business stakeholders, ideally including development or DevSecOps teams.
  • Ability to manage a broad mid-market territory from prospecting through close, adoption, and expansion.
  • Strong relationship-building, discovery, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Comfort driving consistent outbound prospecting and maintaining accurate territory and forecast documentation.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners across sales, customer success, renewals, marketing, partners, and technical teams.
  • Clear, structured communication skills and the ability to present to different audience levels.
  • Interest in GitLab, open source, and software development tools.
  • Willingness to travel to meet customers and attend events as needed.
  • Transferable sales experience from a variety of backgrounds is welcome; candidates do not need to meet every qualification.

  • Base salary range of $68,800 to $114,600 USD.
  • Sales roles are eligible for incentive pay targeted at up to 100% of base salary.
