Description

  • Lead technical discovery with prospects and customers to understand workflows, integrations, data flows, user roles, and success criteria.
  • Translate customer requirements into a clear solution approach and implementation plan.
  • Identify and help resolve blockers related to security, IT, data privacy, legal, and compliance.
  • Deliver tailored demos for HR, legal, and compliance buyer personas.
  • Own proof-of-value and pilot engagements, including scope, timeline, success metrics, configuration, and final readout.
  • Build lightweight prototype configurations, templates, and workflows to demonstrate value quickly.
  • Guide customers through AI adoption concerns such as accuracy, trust, data grounding, and change management.
  • Act as the technical lead for vendor assessments covering SOC 2, data privacy, retention, access controls, audit logs, encryption, SSO/SAML, and SCIM.
  • Create and maintain technical sales assets such as security one-pagers, architecture diagrams, and FAQs.
  • Partner with Sales, Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Security, and Legal to support deals and smooth handoffs.

Requirements

  • 6–10+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Consulting, or Pre-Sales for B2B SaaS, especially mid-market and enterprise.
  • Experience running technical discovery and translating customer needs into solutions.
  • Experience navigating enterprise IT and security requirements, including SSO/SAML, SCIM, SOC 2, and privacy.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical topics to executives and practitioners.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and building repeatable processes in a fast-moving environment.
  • Experience or knowledge of AI/LLM products, agents, RAG, knowledge bases, or workflow automation platforms.
  • Uses AI tools daily for research, writing, prototyping, demo builds, and similar work.
  • Experience with APIs, webhooks, integrations, and light scripting in Python or JavaScript for demos and POVs.
  • Preferred experience supporting product-led sales motions, including PQL-led sales assists and enterprise expansion.

  • Annual gross base salary range of $130,400 to $163,000 plus variable compensation.
