Description

Define requirements and manage development processes, systems, and infrastructure for data platforms and tools.
Partner with laboratory and business stakeholders to clarify requirements, optimize workflows, and ensure alignment with HIPAA and HITECH standards.
Translate product requirements into Epics and Stories with clear user acceptance criteria.
Track development and requirements using issue-tracking systems such as Jira.
Facilitate collaboration between users and engineers to ensure technical solutions meet user needs.
Create and operationalize a technical strategy and integrated roadmap for data products, pipelines, and tooling.
Align cross-functional milestones and deliverables across current and future programs.
Drive scalable, accessible platform development and maintain data integrity across pipelines.
Lead stakeholder discussions and guide technical trade-off decisions.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in an analytical, technical, or scientific field; advanced degree preferred.
At least 5 years of experience in a software development environment, ideally in biotechnology and next-generation sequencing (NGS).
Deep expertise in identifying and prioritizing software features.
Demonstrated ability to lead complex cross-functional trade-off decisions and improve organizational processes.
Experience leading software development for regulated markets, including FDA or CAP/CLIA standards.
Experience with laboratory operations, medical affairs, or diagnostic clinical study operations.
Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and sprint planning.
Experience with multiomics, NGS, or proteomics preferred.

Benefits

US base salary range of $118,150–$167,475.
Equity and cash bonus eligibility.

Remote work with onsite travel to Freenome’s Brisbane, California headquarters as needed.
