Description

  • Design, build, and maintain public-facing APIs and Agentic tools for enterprise customer integrations.
  • Develop and own integrations with external enterprise systems, including HRIS platforms such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, and Dayforce.
  • Build and maintain shared platform services used across the engineering organisation.
  • Write reliable, readable, efficient, testable, scalable, and maintainable code.
  • Provide thorough code reviews and create comprehensive tests and documentation.
  • Develop and maintain large-scale multi-tenant cloud services.
  • Use Generative AI tools and coding agents in day-to-day workflows to improve code quality and delivery speed.
  • Collaborate across teams on industry standards and best practices.
  • Design future-ready solutions using modern microservices and cloud-native patterns.
  • Own production health for your services, including on-call support, incident response, and post-incident reviews.
  • Identify, analyse, and resolve availability, reliability, and performance issues, while improving observability and resiliency.
  • Partner with Product Management and Design to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience building reliable, performant applications and microservices.
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js.
  • Full-stack experience across frontend (React.js), backend, and database layers.
  • Technical depth in at least one specialisation such as networking, security, serverless, or event streams.
  • Strong AWS experience, including compute, storage, networking, and monitoring.
  • Ruby experience is a plus.
  • Experience building and maintaining integrations with HRIS platforms such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Dayforce, or similar enterprise HR systems (preferred).
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm (preferred).
  • Experience with Datadog or similar observability and monitoring platforms (preferred).
  • Demonstrated use of Generative AI tools or coding agents in development workflows (preferred).
  • Experience in enterprise SaaS organisations, particularly HR Tech or regulated domains (preferred).
  • Familiarity with ML/AI integration in production systems (preferred).
  • Open-source contributions or a history of side projects (preferred).
