Description

  • Build and grow an educator community across top university and bootcamp programs.
  • Drive curriculum integration by partnering with educators on teaching resources, assignments, and course packs.
  • Work with university technology centers to promote Figma’s free education program to incoming students.
  • Cultivate relationships with deans, department chairs, program leaders, and other institutional decision-makers.
  • Lay the foundation for Figma’s institutional growth strategy in higher education.
  • Design and launch professor programming, events, resources, and community activations.
  • Collaborate closely with the broader Figma EDU team to align institutional and student programs.
  • Track adoption, engagement, and relationship depth across partnerships and use data to iterate.
  • Develop relationships with professors, instructors, technology centers, and program leadership at leading design schools, HCI programs, and bootcamps.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in academic partnerships, faculty engagement, higher ed community programs, or institutional relationship management.
  • Demonstrated success influencing university leadership, including deans, department chairs, and technology center directors.
  • Experience building programs or communities from scratch with limited resources and no defined playbook.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging for academic and institutional audiences.
  • A scrappy, entrepreneurial approach and comfort operating in ambiguous, resource-constrained environments.
  • Experience as an educator or working directly within a university setting (preferred).
  • Familiarity with design education, HCI programs, or creative disciplines (preferred).
  • Experience working at a high-growth tech company or startup (preferred).
  • Background in community building and education marketing (preferred).
  • Familiarity with sales or business development in an institutional or academic context (preferred).
  • This is a full-time role that can be held from one of Figma’s US hubs or remotely in the United States.

  • Annual base salary range of $105,000 to $221,000 USD, depending on location and experience.
