Description

  • Build and maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders in assigned vertical markets.
  • Prospect, sell, and secure orders from existing and prospective customers using a relationship-based approach.
  • Lead customer account planning for one- and three-year performance objectives, financial targets, and milestones.
  • Assess, clarify, and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Lead solution development efforts that address customer needs and coordinate internal support resources.
  • Coordinate sales efforts with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics, technical service, and other internal teams.
  • Develop clear written proposals and quotations for current and prospective customers.
  • Manage territory planning, customer value plans, and competitive analysis to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Provide oral and written reports on customer needs, market activity, and opportunities for new products and services.
  • Participate in trade shows and conventions and maintain accurate weekly sales forecasts.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Computer Science, related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of commercial software, storage, or networking engineering experience.
  • 25% domestic travel required, with occasional additional travel.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Experience working with customers and internal teams to resolve problems and deliver solutions (preferred by role context).
  • Familiarity with sales forecasting, territory planning, and customer account management.
  • Ability to prepare written proposals, quotations, and business reports.
  • Experience coordinating with channel partners, pre-sales engineers, or sales specialists (preferred by role context).
  • Strong understanding of product applications, technical services, market conditions, and competitive activity.
