Description

  • Own the roadmap, vision, and execution for scaling donations across individual, institutional, communications, and donor analytics channels.
  • Drive fundraising from high-net-worth individuals by building pipeline, strengthening donor relationships, and closing transformational gifts.
  • Oversee institutional fundraising efforts with strategic foundations and major institutions in partnership with program teams.
  • Lead communications, press, and website narrative to strengthen the organization’s brand voice and public positioning.
  • Oversee donor analytics infrastructure, reporting, and related systems.
  • Manage and develop an existing team of 10 employees.
  • Serve on the executive leadership team of a 900+ person organization.
  • Represent the organization as a spokesperson in donor meetings, partner discussions, press interviews, and conferences.
  • Drive organizational transformation by training team members on fundraising and relationship management best practices.
  • Establish systems for scale, including analytics infrastructure, donor pipelines, Salesforce tooling, and related processes.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of professional experience, with most candidates having 8+ years in fundraising and a proven record of closing significant gifts or partnerships.
  • Equivalent relationship-driven growth or business development experience may be considered in place of direct fundraising experience.
  • Experience growing pipelines of $30M+.
  • Experience leading high-performing teams of 5+ and developing team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to personally cultivate and close seven- to eight-figure relationships.
  • Strong analytical instincts and comfort with AI, data analysis, and Excel.
  • Creativity in execution with an iterative approach to testing and validating tactics.
  • Curiosity and persistence in converting prospects into donors.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively using a strong prioritization framework.
  • Ability to give timely, actionable feedback and proactively solicit feedback.
  • US work authorization is required for this US-based role, and the company cannot sponsor or transfer a U.S. employment visa.
  • Approximately 20% travel is required, both nationally and internationally.
  • Experience in major gifts fundraising or resource mobilization is preferred.
  • Private-sector background in tech or finance with relationship-dependent growth or business development experience is welcome.
