Description

  • Develop, build, and expand a sales pipeline through prospecting, incoming lead discovery, and personal network outreach.
  • Identify new business opportunities and growth areas across diagnostic, pharmaceutical, biotech, and other enterprise client markets.
  • Initiate direct contact with decision makers and secure meetings with senior business leaders.
  • Own the development of statements of work and contracts for new opportunities.
  • Create and refine pitch materials, including decks, proposals, and other sales collateral.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective clients to generate referrals and partnerships.
  • Represent the company at conferences, seminars, webinars, and other external events.
  • Oversee the sales cycle and report on business development metrics, KPIs, and revenue forecasts to executive leadership.
  • Work closely with sales team members to present the value proposition and support proposal preparation and delivery.
  • Collaborate on product development, client engagement strategy, and annual goal setting as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in revenue growth.
  • Background in diagnostics, health tech startups, or life sciences at the sponsor and champion levels.
  • Strong experience discovering sales leads and crafting pitch decks and proposals to close opportunities.
  • Understanding and use of AI in daily work to accelerate client understanding, value proposition development, and opportunity identification.
  • Clear and concise communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong pipeline management skills with a high degree of organization and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with a variety of sales productivity tools and CRM systems.
  • Ability to operate with speed and agility in expected time frames.
  • Self-starter with a desire to keep learning within the healthcare space.
  • Ability to build a book of business in a startup environment.
  • Consultative, relationship-driven approach to business development.
  • Coachable, receptive to feedback, and accountable in a high-paced sales environment.
