Description

  • Own a defined territory and build pipeline through proactive outbound prospecting across email, phone, and social channels.
  • Qualify opportunities by uncovering pain, business impact, budget, and decision criteria using frameworks such as MEDDPICC.
  • Deliver tailored value narratives and live demos that connect Elastic’s Search, Observability, and Security offerings to business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with customers to build close plans and maintain accurate CRM updates and sales forecasts.
  • Lead contract and pricing negotiations, including value defense, trade-offs, and multi-year consumption commitments.
  • Position Elastic as the Search AI platform of choice by discussing cloud economics, usage-based pricing, and modern data architectures.
  • Partner closely with Solutions Architects, Customer Success, Marketing, and RevOps to accelerate deals and improve customer outcomes.
  • Drive net-new revenue and expansion within strategic SLED enterprise accounts in Minnesota and Iowa.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience closing complex SLED enterprise SaaS deals in a quota-carrying role.
  • Proven success in a consumption-based or usage-model selling environment, consistently overachieving targets.
  • Experience using MEDDPICC or a similar qualification framework to manage pipeline discipline.
  • Track record of delivering executive-level presentations and demos tied to measurable business value.
  • Strong negotiation experience closing multi-year, high-ACV contracts while protecting margin.
  • Comfort discussing observability, security, vector and traditional search, and cloud cost optimization.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and work in a feedback-oriented environment.
  • Genuine appreciation for open-source communities and the Elastic model, with open-source selling experience preferred.
  • Prior experience at an open-source or developer-centric infrastructure company is a plus.
  • Familiarity with observability use cases such as logs, metrics, and traces, or security analytics use cases such as SIEM/XDR is preferred.

Benefits

  • Base salary plus variable compensation, with a 50/50 pay mix and typical starting OTE of $226,500 to $358,300.
  • Typical starting base salary range of $113,300 to $179,200 USD.
  • Typical starting target variable range of $113,200 to $179,100 USD.
  • Eligibility to participate in Elastic’s stock program.
