Description

  • Build and manage territory pipeline through proactive outbound outreach across email, phone, and social channels.
  • Lead discovery and qualification to assess pain points, business impact, budget, and decision criteria.
  • Create tailored value narratives and deliver live product demos for technical and executive audiences.
  • Partner with customers to develop close plans and maintain accurate CRM forecasting.
  • Lead contract and pricing negotiations to secure multi-year consumption commitments.
  • Position Elastic as the preferred Search AI platform by discussing cloud economics, usage-based pricing, and modern data architectures.
  • Collaborate with Solutions Architects, Customer Success, Marketing, and RevOps to advance deals and improve customer outcomes.
  • Drive both new logo acquisition and customer expansion opportunities.
  • Operate across the full sales cycle from pipeline generation through close.

Requirements

  • More than 3 years of experience closing complex SaaS deals in a quota-carrying role.
  • Consistent success in a consumption-based or usage-model sales environment.
  • Experience using MEDDPICC or similar qualification frameworks.
  • Track record of delivering executive-level presentations and product demos tied to business value.
  • History of closing multi-year, high-ACV contracts while protecting margin.
  • Comfort discussing observability, security, vector/traditional search, and cloud cost optimization.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and incorporate feedback.
  • Genuine interest in open-source communities and the Elastic model.
  • Preferred: prior experience at an open-source or developer-centric infrastructure company.
  • Preferred: familiarity with observability use cases such as logs, metrics, and traces, or security analytics use cases such as SIEM/XDR.
