Description

  • Own a defined territory and build a strong outbound pipeline to generate booked opportunities.
  • Conduct deep discovery and qualification to assess pain points, business impact, budget, and decision criteria.
  • Deliver tailored value stories and live demos that connect Elastic’s Search, Observability, and Security offerings to business outcomes.
  • Build mutual close plans with customers and maintain accurate CRM records and forecast reporting.
  • Lead contract and pricing negotiations to secure multi-year consumption commitments.
  • Position Elastic as the preferred Search AI platform by discussing cloud economics, usage-based pricing, and modern data architectures.
  • Partner closely with Solutions Architects, Customer Success, Marketing, and RevOps to accelerate deals and improve customer outcomes.
  • Manage complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles from pipeline generation through close.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of quota-carrying SaaS sales experience closing complex SLED enterprise deals.
  • Proven success in a consumption-based or usage-model sales environment.
  • Experience using MEDDPICC or a similar qualification framework.
  • Track record of delivering executive-level presentations and product demos.
  • History of closing multi-year, high-ACV contracts while protecting margin.
  • Ability to discuss observability, security, vector and traditional search, and cloud cost optimization.
  • Collaborative, coachable mindset with strong cross-functional teamwork skills.
  • Genuine interest in open-source communities and the Elastic model.
  • Preferred: prior experience at an open-source or developer-centric infrastructure company.
  • Preferred: familiarity with observability use cases such as logs, metrics, and traces, or security analytics such as SIEM/XDR.

Benefits

  • Base salary plus variable compensation with 50/50 target mix.
  • Typical starting OTE range of $226,500 to $358,300 USD.
  • Typical starting salary range of $113,300 to $179,200 USD.
  • Typical starting target variable range of $113,200 to $179,100 USD.
