Description

  • Own a defined territory and build a proactive outbound pipeline through email, phone, and social outreach.
  • Drive net-new revenue and expansion within strategic enterprise accounts.
  • Run deep discovery and qualification to assess pain, business impact, budget, and decision criteria.
  • Deliver tailored value narratives and live demos aligned to Elastic’s Search, Observability, and Security offerings.
  • Develop mutual close plans with customers and maintain accurate CRM records and forecast updates.
  • Lead contract and pricing negotiations and close multi-year consumption commitments.
  • Position Elastic through clear communication about cloud economics, usage-based pricing, and modern data architectures.
  • Partner closely with Solutions Architects, Customer Success, Marketing, and RevOps to accelerate deals and improve customer outcomes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience closing complex enterprise SaaS deals.
  • Consistent success in a quota-carrying role, ideally in a consumption-based or usage-based model.
  • Experience using MEDDPICC or similar qualification frameworks.
  • Strong executive presentation and demo skills that connect product value to business outcomes.
  • Proven ability to negotiate multi-year, high-ACV contracts while protecting margin.
  • Comfort discussing observability, security, vector/traditional search, and cloud cost optimization.
  • Collaborative, coachable mindset with the ability to work effectively across internal teams.
  • Genuine interest in open-source communities and the Elastic model, with open-source sales experience preferred.
  • Prior experience at an open-source or developer-centric infrastructure company is a bonus.
  • Familiarity with observability use cases such as logs, metrics, and traces, or security analytics such as SIEM/XDR, is preferred.

Benefits

  • Typical starting salary range: $113,300–$179,200 USD.
  • Typical starting target variable range: $113,200–$179,100 USD.
  • Typical starting on-target earnings (OTE) range: $226,500–$358,300 USD.
  • 50/50 pay mix between base salary and target variable compensation.
  • Eligibility to participate in Elastic’s stock program.
  • Company-matched 401(k) with dollar-for-dollar matching up to 6% of eligible earnings.
