Description

  • Drive adoption of Elastic’s AI-powered search, observability, and security solutions in new and existing public sector accounts.
  • Generate net-new revenue and expand existing relationships within an assigned territory.
  • Act as a trusted advisor by helping customers turn data into actionable business insights.
  • Position Elastic through conversations about cloud economics, usage-based pricing, and modern data architectures.
  • Identify and develop new use cases that show how Elastic improves efficiency and decision-making.
  • Develop business plans that leverage community, customer, and partner ecosystems to grow the territory.
  • Proactively identify opportunities and manage complex sales cycles from discovery through close.
  • Use deep discovery and qualification frameworks such as MEDDPICC to assess pain, impact, budget, and decision criteria.
  • Work cross-functionally with Solutions Architects, Customer Success, Marketing, and RevOps to accelerate deals and improve customer outcomes.
  • Lead contract, pricing, and executive-level negotiations, and maintain accurate CRM updates and forecasting.

Requirements

  • Experience in SaaS subscription sales within public sector accounts, with a proven record of overachievement.
  • High-level technical curiosity combined with the ability to sell based on business value.
  • Ability to create tailored value narratives that connect technical capabilities to business outcomes.
  • Comfort discussing security, observability, vector and traditional search, and cloud cost optimization.
  • Ability to build credibility with both technical stakeholders and executive leaders.
  • Strong forecasting skills with the ability to build formal close plans and keep CRM data current.
  • Ability to align multiple teams and stakeholders to move deals forward.
  • Enthusiasm for open source and the community around Elastic’s solutions.
  • Experience using AI or new technologies to improve performance and deal structuring (preferred).
