Description

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive territory and target-account strategy to grow existing customers and their business.
  • Identify, pursue, and expand up-sell and cross-sell opportunities within assigned accounts.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders including marketing, solution engineering, partner managers, and product managers to align goals and secure support.
  • Forecast business performance, including revenue, opportunity timing, annual run-rate, commitment values, and cross-sell activation plans.
  • Manage the sales funnel and follow up systematically using SFDC and related tools as the source of truth.
  • Represent Twilio’s mission, vision, values, and corporate story to customers, prospects, and external partners.
  • Adjust plans and priorities based on account performance to maximize growth results.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers and stakeholders through in-person engagement and travel as needed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of combined high-touch sales experience with Japanese customers and native-level Japanese communication.
  • Comfortable working with business and highly technical leaders while influencing their understanding and building supportive partnerships.
  • Demonstrated track record of business growth strategy development and execution.
  • Challenger mindset with a strong appetite for acquiring new business and customers.
  • Proven ability to deliver market-driven results, especially with scale and enterprise customers.
  • Business-level English comprehension and written communication skills.
  • Deep experience working with telecom companies, carriers, or global communications platforms is preferred.
  • Experience in software, SaaS, CPaaS, or CCaaS with AI capabilities is preferred.
  • Fluent verbal English communication is preferred.
  • Cloud technology sales experience in IaaS/PaaS, virtualization, or security is preferred.
  • Experience working with system integrators, resellers, or value-added resellers to drive broad customer coverage is preferred.
  • Role is remote and based in Japan.
  • Approximately 50% travel is required.
